Conditions · Disc problems

Herniated, bulging and degenerative discs.

Three findings that often appear on an MRI report, sometimes together. Whether one of them is causing your symptoms is a separate question, and it is the one the evaluation answers.

What it can feel like

Bulging: the disc extends beyond its normal edge. Herniated: inner disc material has pushed through the outer wall. Degenerative: the disc has lost height and hydration over time. Stenosis: the space for the nerves has narrowed, often because of the above. See spinal stenosis.

How Dr. Lee assesses it

The report says what is there. The exam helps show whether it matches your symptoms. Disc findings are common in people with no pain, so the match matters.

Where non-surgical decompression fits

A disc problem that shows on your MRI and matches your symptoms.

“3 weeks later now, my grandpa is in a significant and incredible better condition.”
I took my grandfather to see Dr. Lee after I saw how bad he was from lower back pain caused by herniated/deviated disks and other conditions. It only took us 1 visit to decide on proceeding with the recommended treatment.

“My pain has reduced from a 10 to a 5 in only a few weeks.”
I’ve been suffering with herniated discs in my lower back for about 3 years now. I have scoliosis and degenerative disc disease and the issues have now extended to my neck.

Questions

Questions about disc problems

Many do. Surgery is usually considered when there is severe or worsening weakness, or when other care has not helped. Dr. Lee’s evaluation shows whether a non-surgical program fits your case first.

Long periods of sitting, heavy lifting, and repeated bending and twisting all load the disc. Many people notice their symptoms follow those parts of the day.

It can. An injured disc stays more vulnerable to the same loads, which is why Dr. Lee’s program works on the disc itself and re-examines you as you go.

Yes. Prime Spine offers non-surgical decompression for the neck as well as the low back. See neck pain.
